An Air Source Heat Pump can provide efficient heating and cooling for your home. The air-source heat pumps can deliver one-and-a-half to three times more heat energy to a home than the electrical energy it consumes.

How does it work ?

The Air Source Heat Pumps extracts the heat from the surrounding air and transfer it over a heat exchanger inside the heat pump itself. Thanks to an evaporator, the heat is turned into a gas. This gas is then compressed and consequently the temperature rises. This hot gas then passes over another heat exchanger where the cold water from the central heating system condenses the gas back into liquid. The heat from the gas is passed into the heat exchanger that supplies the central heating system and domestic hot water.

Air Source Heat Pumps offer a viable alternative to GHPs ( Ground Heat Pumps), as instead of requiring the installation of buried ground loops, air source heat pumps require only space on an external wall outside your house.

Even on the coldest night, there is always lots of thermal energy (heat) in the air . This system has been tested in areas where the outside temperature is as low as -15°C
